More Information for Landlords

From the 1st of October 2008, the requirement for an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) will apply to properties being marketed to rent.

Whatever the size of the property portfolio, Assessors registered with EPC2Let can develop a cost effective plan to meet the requirement for an EPC when your properties are next marketed.

There are several approaches to this, depending on the type, location and number of properties you manage. There are also cash flow, tax, and property improvement issues to consider.

We have a growing register of Energy Assessors, with up to 8 Assessors covering each postcode district.

The Assessors in the register are independent, and must successfully complete a telephone interview before inclusion on the EPC2Let Register.

Apart from an annual registration fee, EPC2Let does not earn fees or commission from any business you may conduct with an EPC2Let Assessor.

Our aim is to create a register of independent Energy Assessors to provide a service to landlords, in order that Landlords and Letting Agents can deal direct with a local Assessor with confidence.

This direct access will ensure that landlords can structure an approach to their EPC requirements without paying agents or middlemen which means the best value for money is obtained for the service.

This also means that local Energy Assessors can trade profitably in the local business community and provide a worthwhile, value for money service. And all with a low carbon footprint!

Registered Energy Assessors are all accredited, monitored and insured, and in addition their inclusion on EPC2Let.com is not accepted until they have successfully completed a telephone interview with one of our qualified and experienced in house Assessors.

If there are no Assessors listed for your postcode districts, you will be notified and invited to leave brief details of your EPC requirements on the 'Live EPC Enquiries' page where Assessors regularly check for work in their areas.
